The University of Louisiana at Lafayette offers its eligible employees the opportunity to save for retirement by participating in the 403(b) Plan.  Employees can participate in this plan by making pre-tax contributions.

Eligible employees may contribute up to $17,500 in 2014.  If you are at least 50 years old and/or you have completed at least 15 years of service, you may also be able to make additional catch-up contributions.  Each catch-up has its own limits.

To start, or change, your contributions to the 403(b) plan, contact:

Susan Miller
(337)482-6248
smm4241@louisiana.edu

An account with a participating 403(b) provider must be established before contributions are made.

Timing, frequency and cancellation of 403(b) salary reduction agreements have no specific limits, therefore, you can enter into, modify or revoke your salary reduction agreement at any time, provided it is within the time restraints set by the University.

For more information, forms, and a list of participating 403(b) providers, please visit the Human Resources area of the University’s website:

You should consult your tax advisor, or any firm that has qualified and is authorized for payroll deduction privileges for the 403(b) plan at the University, to make sure that you are within the limits of the maximum allowable contributions.
